Bernie Marsden plays Red House!!

Bernie Marsden first caught my attention back in 1977 when played guitar on the legendary Paice Ashton Lord album. I was at PAL's London concert at the Rainbow Theatre and Bernie's playing and singing impressed me a lot especially when he sang the lead vocal on a cover of James Taylor's Steamroller Blues. I was a huge Coverdale fan so when one year later Bernie co-founded Whitesake with DC I was thrilled! Bernie became one of the guitar players and musicians who influenced my playing and my music in a major way. I have followed his work to the present day.

Amazing Clapton at Crossroads Guitar Fest. 2010

One of the best live versions of I Shot The Sherriff ever by Eric. The guitar solo which starts at 5:20 goes on till the end of the song at 8:35. This 3 minute solo includes some of EC's best playing ever.

Frank Zappa's solo on Yo Mama

FZ is at his most inspired here. Recorded live in 1978, it's 8 minutes and 33 seconds of some of the most beautiful guitar improvisation ever! Makes me cry every time. From the 6 minute mark onwards Frank plays what is probably the most soulful blues guitar I have ever heard!
